AmeriCorps *State

Goodwill’s AmeriCorps Program is a National Mentor Program that focuses on educational attainment and other needs of at-risk youth in our community.

Goodwill oversees the first AmeriCorps program in the East Texas region.

• AmeriCorps members are volunteers who serve 900 hours in a 10 month time period as either mentors or mentor coordinators
• The AmeriCorps members serve at partner agencies mentoring at-risk youth
• During the AmeriCorps members service, they receive a living allowance
• In return for their completed service, the AmeriCorps member receives an education award
• AmeriCorps members receive extensive training with a goal of personal development and an increased commitment to service

• Nacogdoches ISD
• Crockett ISD
• Boys & Girls Clubs of Lufkin & Crockett
• Pregnancy Help Center
• Living Water Equine Services
• Goodwill Industries
