Donations

Donations of clothing, furniture and household items are the mainstay of all Goodwill programs. The revenue from the sale of these donations provides support for the services Goodwill Offers. Over 50% of the employees within the Donated Goods Program have a disability or some other barrier to employment. Goodwill operates this program in Angelina and Nacogdoches counties with retail stores in Lufkin, Nacogdoches and Diboll.

Donations are received at each retail store location during normal business hours, and at Lufkin’s Attended Donation Centers during the specified times below. At this time Goodwill is not doing home pick ups and asks that the community bring their donations to either a retail store or an Attended Donation Center.

Goodwill provides a valuable service to the community with its recycling efforts. Goodwill keeps community donations out of the landfill by putting people to work in receiving, processing and selling. In addition, metal and computers and parts are also recycled and sold for salvage. This important community initiative helps keep our environment clean by keeping unwanted toxic materials out of the landfill.

Computers • Computer related items • Gently used clothing • Purses • Belts • Linens • Books • House Wares • Bric-a-Brac • Jewelry• Shoes • Pictures/Frames • Records • Small Electrical/Mechanical tools •
Furniture (Gently Used) • Stereos • Small appliances • Toys

Donation Items Not Accepted:

Automobile • Automobiles parts • Encyclopedias/Magazines • Pianos/Organs • Concrete Bricks • Copiers/Fax Machines • Dryers • Paint/Varnish •Freezers • Household trash of any kind • Hot water Heaters • Tires • Mattresses/Foundations (soiled or torn) • Furniture (non resaleable) • Refrigerators • Batteries • Stoves • Oil • Televisions • Washing Machines • Gas stoves/Heaters
